THE ALAN RUSLING MEMORIAL AWARD

The Alan Rusling Memorial Award was awarded on 12 occasions between 1998 - 2009, it being in memory of the late President & Founder of theNorth West Area Branch of RAFPA. The recipients had been adjudged to have rendered outstanding service to the Royal Air Force Police Association at either an Association or Branch level (or Both). In 2009 another award was introduced by an Association Branch with virtually identical criteria, in view of this it was reluctantly concluded by "The Family" that the Memorial Award should be discontinued as there clearly is not enough scope within RAFPA for two such identical awards and that to enter into a "bidding war" for nominations would be demeaning to Alan's memory.
